Nicholas Kurz DO
Nicholas Kurz DO specializes in Family Practice & Occupational Medicine and is a Level II Accredited Workmen’s Compensation Provider. He attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a Family Medicine Allopathic Residency in Pueblo, CO. He is trained in the full spectrum of Family Medicines and as an Osteopath, he provides manipulative treatments (OMT). After years of visiting friends in Pagosa, he and his family were finally able to make this their home and enjoy hiking, biking and snowboarding. Dr. Kurz was most recently a physician and Chief of Staff at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. On July 1, 2013, Dr.Kurz is opening his own Family and Occupational medicine practice in Pagosa Springs, Cornerstone Family Medicine LLC. His goal is bringing knowledge and wellness expertise to his practice, to help his patients live a healthier, more enjoyable life.
Tabitha Zappone NP
Tabitha Zappone is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in family medicine, women's health, endocrinology, pediatrics and has been practicing in Pagosa Springs for over 2 years. She attended the University of Colorado and during her studies she rotated between Alaska Regional Hospital, Providence Alaska Medical Center, and various rural health clinics throughout both Alaska and Colorado. Prior to moving to Pagosa she worked and lived in Bethel, Alaska for three years. Living in rural Alaska provided her with great insight to the importance of adequate health care and preventive medicine in remote areas. Tabitha and her husband moved to Pagosa to be closer to family who has lived in Pagosa for 15 years. When not working, Tabitha can be found taking in the beautiful scenery of Pagosa Springs, hiking, back packing, skiing, horseback riding, mountain biking or climbing a mountain with her dogs.
